So Thanksgiving dinner was nice. We all said what we were thankful for and enjoyed a good meal together. Afterwards I began my Black Friday shopping. I know it sounds crazy to some people, to go out on Thanksgiving evening and stand in line outside for hours just to buy Christmas gifts, and I won't lie I really did not want to go out that night, I would have much rather waited until the next morning to venture out to the stores. I however am not able to choose when the stores have the best sales and they chose to start the sales on Thursday night so out I went. I only went to Toys R Us. I stood in line for almost 3 hours outside. I got some awesome deals and got most of my Christmas shopping for the kids done. I saved over $200 and got $80 in free stuff along with being able to get my children the items that were top on their lists this year, so for me it was worth it!
On to my challenge update, I did slip up a little over Thanksgiving with what I ate and not always drinking my shakes the way I planned and even slacked off on my exercising, so I am working on getting back on track and keeping my eye on the prize. I am excited to say that even with my slip ups and neglect to my routine I did NOT gain a single pound over the holiday!
OK so that is all I have for today but stay tuned as day 60 of my 90 day challenge is rapidly approaching and I hope for an awesome update coming! As always I hope you all have a wonderful day and something to smile about :-)
This blog is a little of everything, my life as a mother, wife and woman.

Thanksgiving is upon us and 10 pounds gone!
Well as of Yesterday I am officially down 10 pounds...YAY! I could not be more excited. I have however learned, or realized I should say, that the number on the scale is not quite as important as what you actually see in the mirror. What I mean by that is, lean muscle obviously weighs more than fat and by gaining lean muscle while I am loosing the fat I may not see the numbers drastically drop as quick as people on "diets", that are not gaining the lean muscle like I am, do. I do have to admit that this is one of my favorite things about the Body by Vi challenge. You don't just loose weight, you gain lean muscle and improve your overall health. I feel great, I look great and last weekend I wore a pair of jeans to the movies that just a few months before I couldn't even get the buttons to touch. I am one happy woman right now, as if you couldn't tell :-)
So on a new note now, I am preparing Thanksgiving dinner again this year, only it will be a very small dinner of just myself, my husband, Peanut and my mother. my two older boys will be spending the Holiday with their dad and the rest of my family is either going somewhere else this year or working. I am however still preparing a wonderful meal and the four of us will enjoy it just the same. I am so thankful for all the many blessings God has given my family and myself this past year. I hope everyone remembers to thank him daily and not just once a year. A good friend once pointed out a beautiful quote to me and it tugged at my heart and stuck with me. "What if tomorrow you woke up with only what you thanked God for today" Author unknown to me. That is wisdom. So on that note, rember to thank God daily for everything you have big and small and remember the people who are less fortunate because there really are so many.
That is all for tonight. I hope everyone has a wonderful Thanksgiving and as always something to smile about!

30 days of Vi
OK so Wednesday the 7th made 30 days Of my 90 day challenge. I got up that morning and weighed and measured myself the way I would normally do every Tuesday(I waited til Wednesday this week to do it on the 30 day mark) and I am pleased to announce that i am down 8 pounds and a total of 8 inches from my body (waist, hips, chest) Now I realize this is a big accomplishment for myself because I know how my body is and how hard I have of a time normally trying to loose weight without taking diet pills, which I refuse to do. At the same time I a also realize that I ventured from my own goal a few times and didn't workout as much as I said I would, skipped on my shakes a couple of times and gave into temptation with foods that were very bad for me a few times too. This being said I know realize that if I put forth more of an effort this next 30 days I will reach my goal of loosing 30 pounds in no time. I mean if I can loose 8 pounds, pardon my language here, but half assing it sometimes, imagine what I can accomplish if I put my all into it! I can't wait to see :-)
OK so I just wanted to share a quick update with you on how my challenge was going but I need to go for now. As always I hope you all have a great day and something wonderful in your life to smile about!

2 Weeks In
Ok So yesterday made 2 weeks of my 90 day challenge. I did my weigh in and I am down a total of 5 pounds and 3 inches off my waist! I couldn't be more happy with these results. I have struggled with my weight most of my adult life and to finally find something that works for me without starving myself or feeling like I am depriving myself of something is just awesome!
On my business note of things I am just starting out so I don't have a lot going on to talk about but I am sharing the Body By Vi challenge with everyone who will listen. I would be doing this even if I weren't making a my own business with it because I believe in this so much. I am hoping to not only be successful in my business but also to help change the lives of others in the process.
As for my family, they are all doing well. My older 2 boys are doing great in school. My little Peanut is growing too fast and will be 4 next month. My husband is being super supportive of my challenge goals and my business, and we are getting along good! Our "puppy" is huge lol (97 pounds 2 months ago at the vet) and just turned 1 this month! As you can imagine having such a large puppy, who still very much acts like a puppy, can be a handful and at times very frustrating but we are loving him. I have to sometimes remind myself that this "puppy" age will pass and it will get easier.
Well this is all I have time for right now. As always I hope your day is wonderful and you have something to smile about!

My 90 Day Challenge
So here I am 10 months since my last post and I find myself wondering why I allowed myself to get so busy that I didn't stick with my blog. None the less I am back here and more ready than ever to give this a go. I won't get into the numerous paragraphs that would fill in the last 10 months before now instead I am going to look to the future and share my newest journey with you all.
14 days ago I started my very own 90 day challenge. For any of you who have not heard about this, this is a Body By Vi weight loss and fitness challenge created by ViSalus. So my personal goal is to loose 30 pounds! I know I can do this because after just 1 week on the challenge I was already down 3 pounds :-) I weigh and measure myself every Tuesday so you can look for those posts to be exciting and new every week! I am proud to share this journey with you!
Along with starting my own personal challenge I also embarked on a business challenge as well. I am now a promoter of the 90 day challenge in an effort to help financially support my family, So you will see posts on that as well. I want to share my entire journey not just the weight loss part of it. I will be on here regularly to update you on all things ViSalus and my life in other aspects as well. Until my next post if you care to learn more about ViSalus and what the 90 day challenge is all about, how to join or how to promote it, please feel free to view my website at www.PeQueen6907.bodybyvi.com .
As always I hope your day is bright and you have many things to make you smile :-)

Time Flies When The Holidays Arrive!
I can't believe it has been almost 3 months since I wrote last. Time really does fly around here. Our family made it through the holidays. Halloween was fun ,the kids dressed up in there scary and cute costumes and got a ton of candy. Thanksgiving was special because my sister and her husband joined us. I hadn't spent a holiday with my baby sister in a long time. After our Thanksgiving dinner she and I went Christmas shopping like crazy people! We shopped Thursday night and just about the entire day Friday too, it was crazy but it was fun and I managed to get the majority of my Christmas shopping for the kids done in those two days, so it was also very productive. After Thanksgiving I spent the next few weeks decorating and shopping and preparing for Christmas. We had a wonderful Christmas and the kids really did well without breaking my bank account. Unlike my ex and his wife (who I believe think we are in competition with one another, which we certainly are not) I don't feel I need to go in debt to give my family a beautiful Christmas and nice things under the tree, I shopped smart, shopped sales and set limits and it turned out wonderful! To me the best gifts are the ones with lots of thought and love behind them not the ones with the biggest price tags, not to say there weren't a few pricey items under our tree but I did very good with not going over board this year and I'm proud of that!
Now for the sad part of my post, 3 days after Christmas my husbands uncle passed away in the hospital. He was a good man in his mid fifties whom had lots of medical problems. He will truly be missed. R.I.P. N.P.
We have another big change to our household, as of a week before Christmas, we are now the proud family to a puppy. As an early Christmas present to our children we got an eight week old cane corso puppy. A very close friend of mine bred her dog for the last time and in her generosity and love for our family gave us our puppy for free. We named him Frosty! He is all white and loves the snow so the name suites him well. Our family is in love with him, but I must admit my days are much more chaotic with a 3 year old and a puppy at home all day. Peanut loves to play with Frosty and Frosty loves to play with him, they just have very different ideas on HOW to play with one another lol. We are all learning together, even our cat is settling into the idea of Frosty so I call that progress :-)
On that note my time is up, motherhood is calling me. So as always I hope everyone has a fantastic day and many things to smile about!
